Electrician (Apprentice or Journeyperson)

Are you an Electrician or Electrician Apprentice looking to gain more experience and knowledge in a new career? We are looking for both an Apprentice and Journeyperson Electrician to join our team!

Details of this position:

  • Full-time permanent position
  • Apprentice:┬áThe Electrician Apprentice is responsible for the completion of tasks and assignments within the trade under the direction of a Journeyman or independently to maintain equipment and plant building. Day shift (6AM-4PM), Monday to Friday, and some Saturdays.
  • Journeyperson:┬áThe Electrician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance throughout the plant on electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with standardized procedures. Afternoon shift (2PM-12AM) Monday to Friday, and some Saturdays
  • Wages - To be determined, based on experience and skill level

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Completing tasks and assignments within the trade under the direction of a journeyman or independently to maintain equipment and plant building
  • Complete theoretical training as per the government regulations and pass all required exams
  • Perform reasonable duties as assigned
  • Support production processes as needed
  • Support the maintenance team

Skills and Education Requirements:

  • 442A or 309A Electrical License (Journeyperson)
  • Must have at least three years Canadian experience in the trade
  • Experience in the manufacturing environment (food, packaging) would be an asset
  • Proven mechanical aptitude
  • Reliable attendance
  • Positive attitude
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to Detail
  • Able to work independently
  • Good Organizational skills
  • Lift approx. 30KG / 66LB repeatedly
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to read electrical drawings
  • Provide your own tools
